MBH is a supportive wellbeing gym in Wigan, helping people build confidence, routine, and long-term health — without pressure or judgement.

Why MBH Was Built

MBH wasn’t built because I wanted to open a gym.
It was built because I couldn’t find what I needed myself.

When I finished playing rugby, life didn’t suddenly fall into place. I lost structure. I lost routine.
I lost the daily support that comes from teammates and coaches checking in on you.

Training stopped being something I did for myself and became something I did to myself.

Then life kept moving. Work. Stress. Responsibility. Becoming a dad.
Trying to show up for my family while keeping everything else going.

And I realised something quickly, most fitness models only work when life is easy.

They work when you’ve got time, energy, and headspace.
They fall apart when you’re tired, stressed, overwhelmed, and stretched thin.

That’s when people don’t need pressure, they need support.

MBH Well-Being works alongside MHEC (Mind Health & Exercise Community) to support wider wellbeing, safeguarding, and community-focused initiatives.

This connection allows us to maintain high standards of care, governance, and responsibility when working with vulnerable individuals and partner organisations.
